Understanding the Endpoint Lifecycle

An Endpoint is a remote device, which typically contains a physical SIM or an eSIM, that you can connect to.

The Ordering Process
Your Endpoints start life through an offline ordering process:

  1. You contact Stacuity (currently by emailing your account manager at Stacuity) and order Endpoints.
  2. Stacuity allocates both physical SIMs and eSIMs to the Tenant
  3. Once allocated, Endpoints appear in your inventory as "Unallocated"
  4. You can now distribute them through your hierarchy

Endpoint Status Progression: Endpoints go through the following statuses

  • Unallocated: Available in tenant inventory and not yet allocated
  • Allocated: Assigned to sub-tenant or customer, but not active
  • Active: Assigned to customer and has been activated. Provisioned and placed in endpoint group by customer
