Charging

Charging Management Overview

The Charging Management system in Stacuity provides flexible pricing control through two complementary mechanisms: Tariffs and Bundles. This system allows you to create sophisticated pricing structures that can be distributed through your tenant hierarchy while maintaining centralized control over rates and policies. Key Concepts:

Tariffs = Pay-per-use pricing for data consumption (charged per MB when no bundles are active)
Bundles = Data quota packages that customers consume before falling back to tariff rates

The charging system operates hierarchically, allowing parent tenants to create master pricing structures while sub-tenants can add markups and distribute customized rates to their customers.

How It Works:

Create Master Tariffs with base rates for different zones and networks
Generate Tariff Aliases to distribute consistent pricing to sub-tenants Add Markups at each tenant level to create profitable pricing tiers Bundle Integration - customers consume bundles first, then fall back to tariff rates Centralized Updates - changes to master tariffs automatically flow to all aliases

Billing Priority:

First: Active bundles (quota-based consumption)
Fallback: Tariff rates (pay-per-use pricing)
